Living in Israel, Sharon Chekroun grew up in the southern neighborhood of Tel-Aviv. She was deserted by her father at the age of five and lived with her alcoholic mother up to the age of fifteen. Sharon is Jewish, her mother hailed from Egypt and her father from Iraq. She seems to be forced into finding her sacred/secret place at the comforting colors of her painting and has developed her own artistry from sketches to acrylic painting on canvas.She fought to get a scholarship and luckily soon found herself in one of the finest art schools in Israel where she discovered the magic of "Fresco" in 1995.
