Aloha 'Aina
In the serene setting of an ancient fishpond, Hauoli Kamaka 'Akea Mahoe dances a hula kahiko (ancient dance) depicting: 'aina (land), ka la (the sun), mahi 'ai o'o (farmer), mohala (blossoming flower) and na'au ho'omaika'i (giving thanks). His mana'o (feeling), “He mau makana o ka 'aina i na mea pülama apau. Aia ka ola i ka wai. Mahalo ke Akua no na makana apau. These gifts of the land are cherished. Where there is water, there is life. Thank you Lord for all these gifts.”
